Rehome Your Pet...
Responsibly. Safely.
Are you looking for a new home for your pet? If so, you're in the right place! We are here to help you safely find a loving forever home for your pet. All you need to do is to set up your pet's profile in less than 10 mins. Once complete, your pet's profile will be posted on Adopt-a-Pet.com and be seen by millions of visitors each month!
Easy as 1-2-3-4
1. Create A Pet Profile
Create a pet profile in minutes and manage it in your dashboard. Use your dashboard to:
Edit and add to your pet profile
Review adopter applications
Browse resources and FAQs
Tip:
Adding a photo to your pet profile can increase clicks by 500%.

2. Review Applications
Finding a new home for your pet can feel like a big decision. We’ll make sure you’re not alone.
We'll notify you when you have a new application to review.
If you aren't 100% confident in your ability to choose the right adopter, we have question-by-question screening guidance right on the application page, so you can see which answers are great, which are not-so-great, and which ones might require follow-up questions.
Tip:
Screening guidance is included with each application to help you to screen adopters.

3. Meet Adopters
After you screen the application, it’s time to meet the adopter! We’ll give you all the tips you need for conducting a safe and effective meeting.
Tip:
Find helpful meet and greet FAQs located in the ‘Resources’ tab on your dashboard.

4. Finalize Adoption
Adopt a Pet provides a transfer of ownership template that you and your adopter can sign as proof of the adoption.
You’ll be able to specify what you want to happen if the adoption doesn’t work out (rest assured, most adoptions are successful): if you want the pet returned to you or you want the adopter to find a new home for the pet.
